In the latest QS Subject Ranking, Sharif University of Technology (SUT) was able to rank 1st in Iran in the broad subject area of Engineering and Technology for the sixth consecutive year.
This ranking evaluates each university's performance within 51 different indicators. Iranian universities participated in 18 broad subject areas.
According to the new QS Subject Ranking, Sharif University of Technology ranked 1st in the country and excelled in 2 broad subject areas and 10 majors.
QS reported that Sharif University of Technology was able to continue to be the top engineering university in the country in the general fields of Engineering and Technology. In addition to its ranking as a top university.
QS Subject Ranking is based on four indicators: university reputation review, employer evaluation, number of citations per article, and h-index, and each of these indicators is characterized by a weight appropriate to each subject area. Some of the information needed for QS Subject Ranking is obtained through the Scopus Citation Database and some are obtained from survey information.
In 2022, the QS ranking evaluated the world's top universities based on 51 indicators in 5 fields of science and technology; including, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Arts.
