Sharif University of Technology Tops National Rankings in Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science in Times Subject Ranking 2024

Sharif University of Technology has achieved the top position in the country in the field of engineering, technology, and computer science in the Times Subject Ranking 2024. The Times Subject Ranking annually evaluates universities worldwide in 11 subject areas, including engineering and technology, life sciences, physical sciences, arts and humanities, health and clinical subjects, economics and business, social sciences, computer science, psychology, education, and law.

The subject ranking by Times is based on the same 13 performance indicators used in the global Times ranking. However, each of these indicators and their weightings are reviewed according to the specific subject area being assessed. The table below shows the 13 indicators of the Times Subject Ranking:

Sharif University of Technology has achieved the first rank in the country in the engineering and technology field, with a ranking of 126-150, and in the computer science field with a ranking of 201-250. In the subfield of physical sciences, it has achieved a global ranking of 401-500, and in economics and business, it has achieved a ranking of 301-400. The university's performance has improved in the fields of engineering, technology, computer science, and physical sciences compared to the previous year, while there has been no change in its ranking in the field of economics and business.
