Sharif University of Technology Jumps 47 Spots in Latest QS Ranking, Secures Top Spot in Country

In the most recent QS ranking, Sharif University of Technology (SUT) has made an impressive ascent of 47 positions, reportedly securing the top spot in the country and 334th globally among universities worldwide. This marks the first time that an Iranian university has achieved such a significant jump in the QS rankings.

The QS rankings evaluate universities based on six indicators in the form of four main areas of education, research, employability, and internationalization. The university's reputation holds the most weight at 40%, while employer evaluation (10%), proportion of international faculty members (5%), proportion of international students (5%), citations per faculty member (20%), and faculty members to student ratio (20%) each carry varying degrees of importance.
