Sharif University of Technology at GHEDEX 2019, Seeking Opportunities to Extend International Collaborations
With the aim of introducing education and research opportunities, Sharif University of Technology took part in GHEDEX Global Higher Education Exhibition, the most significant academic event in Oman, held on 14-16 April 2019. The exhibition attended by 25 countries provided a platform for universities and academic institutions to help participants explore recruitment and internship programs, funding and scholarship opportunities, get familiar with new education technologies, and attend seminar sessions discussing significant topics in education. Attended by 200 education providers from around the globe, GHEDEX was a unique place for universities to discuss the possibility of mutual cooperation as well.
This was the first time presence of SUT in the event where more than 18000 participants visited the exhibition. The Special Representative of Omani Ministry of Science, Ambassador of Iran to Oman, and representatives of different universities such as Waikato and GUTech were among the guests of the SUT booth.
Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman, expressed the great interest of the Ministry of Science in Oman to cooperate with Sharif University of Technology and hoped that the exhibition could be the start for further cooperation in near future.
