Nov 9, 2019 : Rector of İzmir Institute of Technology, Dr. Yusuf Baran, paid a visit to Sharif University of Technology.
In a meeting that was held at SUT’s presidential office he was received by Dr. Mahmoud Fotuhi, President, and Dr. Arash Simchi, Dean of International Affairs. During the meeting, possible lines of academic collaboration between SUT and İzmir Institute of Technology were discussed by the participants. On the sidelines of this meeting, Dr. Fotuhi and Dr. Baran signed an MoU for academic and research cooperation. The mutual collaborations are pursued in a variety of ways such as professor/ student mobility programs, joint research projects, joint degree programs, and exchange programs.
After the meeting Dr. Baran visited SUT Services Complex and got acquainted with the facilities.
It is worth mentioning that İzmir Institute of Technology is one of Turkey’s best technical universities. SUT currently cooperates and has signed MOU with more than 10 institutions and universities in Turkey.
