The Second Iranian Health Hackathon at Sharif University of Technology

Hackahealth, a medical hackathon in which coding and medical experts get together as innovators to design solutions to the most critical issues of our healthcare industry, started on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at SUT International Campus at Kish Island and will continue till April 29.

2019 Hackahealth, a 72-hour programming marathon supported by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, Kish Free Zone Organization and MIT, hosted 120 participants in 20 teams from Iran and overseas. The teams are expected to spend 3 days of intensive planning and programming to design, code and finalize a mobile app and submit to a panel of judges. In the competition, technical mentors in the fields of medicine and mobile web and programming are ready to give hints and provide advice where requested.

The driving thought behind such events organized by SUT is to encourage entrepreneurship, promote creativity, empower students to become the future start-up runners, and employ the high potential of domestic elites and experts to pave the way for Iranian industries to thrive in the highly competitive global markets.
