SUT enjoys a unique position in the Iranian higher education system in that its renowned quality of education and research makes it the top destination of choice for domestic high school leavers as well as those who wish to pursue postgraduate study. Every year, the national university entrance exam (Concours) with over half a million participants in Physical Sciences, open the university’s gates to 1000 new students. Of those admitted to Sharif last year, 98 were ranked in the top 100 and 600 were ranked in the top 1000.

International:

Sharif University of Technology has been welcoming international students for many years and wants to continue this tradition by admitting excellent students from across the world. It is currently host to over 15 different nationalities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Admission to SUT is competitive, but each application is considered on its own educational background and merits, irrespective of the nationality of the applicant. There are different admission procedures for those wishing to do undergraduate study, postgraduate study, to transfer from another university, or to come as a visiting student.
