On October 25, 2022, Times Higher Education (THE) released its latest analysis for university subjects which is one of the premier comprehensive subject rankings in the world. Ranking factors considered by THE include teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income. It measures higher education institutions in eleven main subgroups including arts and humanities, business and economics, education, law, social sciences, computer sciences, engineering and technology, clinical sciences and health, biological sciences, physical sciences, and psychology.
The academic disciplines of Sharif University of Technology (SUT) such as engineering and technology, computer science, physical science, and business and economics earned high marks in the 2023 subject ranking of THE. In the field of engineering and technology, with a rank of 175-151, in addition to achieving first place in the country, it succeeded in improving its previous record of 200-250 from last year. SUT also managed to maintain the top ranking of Iran, same as last year, in the field of computer science as well, ranking 250-300.
