In the latest QS World University Rankings 2022, with 28 steps elevation, Sharif University of Technology ranked 381 in the world.
According to the latest QS ranking, Sharif University of Technology succeeded to stand at rank 381 globally, besides becoming the best university of Iran for the fifth consecutive year. This success has been achieved in a way that SUT has ranked 400 or above over the past years. Analyzing SUT ranks in the previous years, it is axiomatic that SUT has witnessed a significant progression in the QS ranking system.
It is important to note that in citation per faculty and employer reputation indicators, SUT ranked 25 and 389 in the world, respectively. In the QS World University Rankings, universities are evaluated based on 6 indicators in 4 categories, namely, teaching, research, employer reputation, and international outlook.
In the QS ranking system, academic reputation with 40%, employer reputation with 10%, international faculty ratio with 5%, international student’s ratio with 5%, citation per faculty with 20%, and faculty-student ratio with 20% of the total, are considered for university evaluation. The data resource of the QS ranking system is comprised of the information gathered though surveys, university presentations, and the research information of the universities in Scopus between 2016 and 2020.
