Islamic World Science Citation center ranking group has published the world university subject ranking of more than 700 universities across the world.
The ISC ranking system, which is based on three general principles of research, international activities, and innovation, compares higher education institutions in six subject areas, which are Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Medical and Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities.
The list of universities published in 2021 by ISC ranking includes 42 Iranian universities. Sharif University of Technology has made significant progress in the field of Engineering and Technology while maintaining its position in the field of Natural Sciences. Listed 301-350 in 2019 and 250-300 in 2020, SUT has maintained its upward trend in Engineering and Technology and is now ranked 201 in the recent ISC ranking announcement.
Among Iranian universities, Sharif University of Technology won second place after University of Tehran in the field of Engineering and Technology.
Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences and Astronomy, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Nano Engineering, Materials Engineering, etc. helped SUT achieve an acceptable place in the recent ISC Subject World Ranking.
